Troubleshooting
This page covers pairing, connection, updates, and calibration behaviour inside Control Center. If the device itself seems to be at fault (no sensation, damage, power issues), see Hardware - Troubleshooting. If the symptom shows up in Studio instead, see Studio - Troubleshooting.
Installer blocked by Windows Defender SmartScreen#
This is expected on first install. Click More info, confirm the publisher is Deep Divers Ltd, then click Run anyway. See Studio - Install.
Device doesn't show up in AVAILABLE DEVICES#
- Confirm the device is powered up, then press Refresh.
- Check the Wi-Fi adapter selected (upper-right) is the one the device is actually in range of.
- Move the device closer to the PC, or use a dedicated access point instead of relying on range. See Control Center - Wi-Fi Setup.
- If the PC has no built-in Wi-Fi module, confirm an external adapter is installed with current drivers, and that it supports 802.11 b/g/n on the 2.4 GHz band. See Hardware - Getting Started.
Can't pair: device already belongs to another PC or account#
You'll get a notification if you try to pair a device that's already paired elsewhere. It must be unpaired from its current PC and account first before you can pair it to yours. See Control Center - Pairing & Connection.
Paired device won't connect#
- Confirm it's paired under the same PC and same Teslasuit account you're currently using. A device paired elsewhere, or previously paired in offline mode, isn't available for connection until unpaired.
- Confirm the device is within proximity range of the selected Wi-Fi adapter.
- If you previously paired in offline mode and have since signed in online, unpair the device in offline mode first, then re-pair while online. See Control Center - Launch & Authorization.
Connection drops repeatedly, or is unstable#
- If you're running multiple devices on one adapter in direct mode, that's a hardware limit: each device needs its own dedicated adapter in direct connection mode. Switch to access-point forwarding instead. See Control Center - Wi-Fi Setup.
- Check the adapter's drivers are up to date.
- Try an access point instead of a direct connection. A Wi-Fi router is usually better than the default direct link at balancing traffic, and it's faster and more stable in most cases. See Forwarding a device to an access point.
- If the same instability happens on every adapter and every device, that's worth reporting to
support@teslasuit.iowith your Software Bundle version.
Firmware or software update fails or gets stuck#
- During a firmware update, don't turn off the device, don't turn off the PC, and don't close Control Center. Interrupting the transfer is the most common cause of a stuck update.
- After a firmware update completes, reboot the device (power off, wait a few seconds, power on) before continuing to use it. See Control Center - Updates.
- Remember firmware is one-way: once updated, a device cannot be downgraded. Confirm you actually want the new version before proceeding.
- For a stuck Software Bundle update, make sure you actually closed Control Center when prompted — the installer can't finish while it's still running.
No update notification appears#
Software and firmware updates require an online sign-in. If you're in offline mode, you won't be notified of new versions. See Control Center - Launch & Authorization. You can also check Developer Portal → Downloads directly for the latest Software Bundle.
Calibration marker stays orange, or calibration won't open#
- For TESLASUIT mocap specifically, calibration isn't done in Control Center at all. It's performed in Studio.
- For other subsystems make sure the electrodes or PPG sensor actually have skin contact before starting. Calibration measures your real response, so poor contact produces an unreliable or failed result.
Not a Control Center issue?#
- No sensation despite a successful calibration, or the device won't power on → Hardware - Troubleshooting
- Device connects fine here but nothing shows up in Studio, or presets play silently → Studio - Troubleshooting
When to contact support#
Contact support@teslasuit.io with:
- Your Software Bundle version (Settings → Software Updates).
- Your device's firmware version (see Control Center - Device Report).
- The exact point at which the failure happens.
Note
Attach the log files too. Copy the whole logs folder from %ProgramData%\Teslasuit\logs and include it with your message.
