Requirements & before you start
To run the Teslasuit Software Bundle — that is, the Control Center and Studio applications — your setup must meet a set of hardware and software requirements. You can download and install the Software Bundle without owning any hardware, but the subset of available functionality is then highly limited, so at least one Teslasuit device is needed for real work.
Technical requirements#
| Requirement | |
|---|---|
| Device | At least one Teslasuit device (TESLASUIT or TESLAGLOVE) |
| OS | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit edition |
| Processor | 4-core (4× core) or more |
| Memory | 4 GB RAM or more |
| Storage | 1 GB free or more |
| Network | Broadband internet connection (for online authorization); one dedicated Wi-Fi adapter (external or integrated) per device; latest network drivers installed |
| Display | 1080p resolution |
| Input | Keyboard and mouse, or touchpad |
The network requirement deserves emphasis: each Teslasuit device communicates over Wi-Fi, and in direct-connection mode a physical Wi-Fi adapter serves only one device at a time. If your computer already uses its built-in adapter for internet access, plan on a dedicated adapter for the device. Connection topology is covered in Control Center - Wi-Fi Setup.
This is the same Software Bundle baseline used by Studio.
Before you start#
Once your hardware and software meet the requirements above, complete these steps in order:
- Confirm the requirements. Verify the OS, hardware, network, and at least one device.
- Sign in to the Developer Portal. Registration in the Teslasuit system is required to download software and documentation.
- Download and install the Software Bundle. Use the united Windows installer from the Developer Portal; it installs Control Center, Studio, and the C and Python APIs together.
After installation you can launch Control Center from the desktop shortcut created by the installer, or by running the executable directly from the installation directory. By default this is:
C:\Program Files\Teslasuit\Studio\control_center.exe
Continue to Control Center - Launch & Authorization.
