Control Center — Overview

Control Center is a desktop application for Windows and the entry point for every interaction with your Teslasuit devices. It ships as part of the Teslasuit Software Bundle, which you download as a single united Windows installer from the Developer Portal. The same installer also delivers Studio and the C-API, but Control Center is a separate application with a distinct purpose: it is the only tool for pairing and connecting devices, calibrating their systems and sensors, running status checks and device reports, and managing firmware and software updates.

Control Center serves as the administrative and service hub for your hardware. Before a TESLASUIT or TESLAGLOVE can be used for haptics, motion capture, or biometry in Studio or through an SDK, it must first be set up here. What Control Center does#

Control Center coordinates the full administrative side of working with Teslasuit devices:

  • Pairing and connection. Binds a device to a specific PC and Teslasuit account, then connects it over Wi-Fi for a working session. See Control Center - Pairing & Connection.
  • Calibration. Tunes haptic intensity, motion-capture sensors, and the biometric (PPG) sensor to your body and conditions before the data is handed off to other tools. See Control Center - Calibration.
  • Device reporting. Surfaces a device's structure, supported systems, component versions, and identifiers for research or troubleshooting. See Control Center - Device Report.
  • Updates management. Delivers device firmware and Software Bundle updates. See Control Center - Updates.

The device lifecycle#

A typical path from a brand-new device to a working session looks like this:

  1. Launch and authorize Control Center, signing in to the Teslasuit system either online or offline.
  2. Set up Wi-Fi — choose a direct connection or forward the device to an access point.
  3. Pair and connect the device to your PC and account.
  4. Calibrate its haptic, mocap, and biometry systems.
  5. Use the device in Studio or via an SDK.
  6. Update firmware and software when prompted.
