Motion capture#
The mocap system is built on 14 inertial measurement units, each combining an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, fixed at anatomic locations in the garment. They run in either 6-axis or 9-axis mode (see Hardware - Wearing) and stream pose data at up to 100 frames per second.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Elements | 14 IMU |
| Type | 9-axis and 6-axis modes |
| Location | Built-in, fixed, anatomic |
| Frame rate | Up to 100 frames/sec |
| Roll & pitch accuracy | 0.5° |
| Heading accuracy | 1° |
See Concept - Mocap.
Haptic system#
Haptic feedback is delivered through 114 built-in electrodes organised into 80 channels, using EMS and TENS. Each channel's frequency, pulse width, and amplitude are adjustable from the application.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Electrodes | 114 (52 trousers + 62 jacket) |
| Channels | 80 (32 trousers + 48 jacket) |
| Type | EMS, TENS |
| Location | Built-in, fixed, anatomic |
| Frequency | 1–150 Hz per channel (adjustable in the application) |
| Voltage | 0–60 V AC |
| Current | Up to 150 mA |
| Pulse width | 10–140 µs (adjustable in the application) |
| Amplitude control | Yes |
See Concept - Haptics.
Photoplethysmography (PPG)#
A single anatomically placed PPG sensor uses red, infrared, green, and blue LEDs to derive heart-rate and related cardiac metrics at 200 frames per second.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | PPG (red, infrared, green, blue LEDs) |
| Sensors | 1 |
| Location | Built-in, fixed, anatomic |
| Spectral sensitivity range | 455–955 nm |
| BPM calculation | Yes |
| inter-beat intervals | Yes |
| Heart rate variability (HRV) | Yes |
| Frame rate | 200 frames/sec |
See Concept - PPG.
Power supply#
The suit runs from the included power bank (see Hardware - Getting Started), which ships separately. Operating time depends on how intensely the suit is used and on the power bank's capacity.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Hours of operation | 5–8 hours, depending on activity and power-bank capacity |
| Voltage | 5 V DC (±0.25 V) |
| Current | Max 2 A |
Connectivity#
The suit connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, conforming to the 802.11 b/g/n standards. See Control Center - Pairing & Connection.
Environmental conditions#
| Condition | Air temperature | Relative humidity |
|---|---|---|
| Storage | 5–35 °C | 20–85 % |
| Operation | 5–35 °C | 20–65 % |
Operating outside this envelope is not guaranteed to be safe or accurate — see Hardware - Known Limitations.
Textile characteristics#
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Jacket weight | 1.50 kg (max, depending on size) |
| Trousers weight | 1.35 kg (max, depending on size) |
| Base structure, bottom layer | 55% nylon, 45% spandex, 230 g/m² |
| Base structure, top layer | 94% polyester, 6% spandex (spacer), 392 g/m² |
